What the Heck am I Doing This Weekend in Pittsburgh

Bad news - I have actually stuck to this series for three weeks in a row. That pretty much guarantees that its end is near.

So yeah, it is Thursday, and I am ACTUALLY going to be IN Pittsburgh this weekend! So of course, I am jam packing it with everything I gotta see and do.

Saturday, July 22nd

Bloomfield Saturday Market

I went two weeks ago and I have been thinking about it ever since. I gotta get myself another breakfast salad from James Beard nominee, and former Cafe at the Carnegie chef Becca Hegarty. Hegarty has a booth at the Bloomfield market where she sells small dishes and produce from her "Bitter Ends Garden."  More information on market.

I am GOING OUT this weekend. Once upon a time I went out all the time. Recently, I have developed into a sort of recluse/workaholic... aka I get really bad hangovers really easily (we are talking two craft beers) and its usually just not worth it to sacrificing the entire next day for one night

Don't get me wrong, I drink (often), but that is like a $15 cocktail at 6:00 p.m.

Anyways, this event is the reason I am going out, and am super excited to do so. I love Kanye, I love Belvederes. This will be fun. Enough said.

Sunday, July 23rd

Beer + Yoga: Summer Series @ Brew Gentlemen

I wrote about this two weeks ago and never actually went (lol). This time, I am going to try (harder) to make it happen.

I have been wanting to go to the Brew Gentlemen for quite some time. $5 yoga with a beer to follow sounds like a pretty good reason to check it out.  Located in Braddock, the Brew Gentlemen have received a ton of national recognition for their beers.  Tickets

Western PA Lamb Cook-Off

I love lamb. I also love "25 of the biggest names in Pittsburgh cooking." The first annual Pittsburgh Lamb Festival is pretty much my dream event.  Tons of local talent are cooking up their own approach to lamb, and guests are voting on their favorites. Learn more about it here.
