Pittsburgh Japanese Film Festival @ Row House Cinemas
April 7th - 13th - Lawrenceville
There are quite a few film festivals going on in Pittsburgh right now! This week long celebration of Japanese cinema will begin Friday, April 7th. This years key themes are include felines, friendship, and the samurai code. For more information, check out the Facebook event page.

Bucco Home Opener @ Allegheny City Brewing

My favorite Friday event in Pittsburgh! Monthly gallery crawl in Garfield on Penn Ave. The galleries on Penn Ave are open, there are free drinks, live music, awesome people! "What started as an attempt to revitalize Penn Avenue between Negley and Mathilda has transformed into one of the city's hottest cultural events." More information on the Penn Avenue Website. Also, this week, there is a Reggae concert at the Kelly Strayhorn Theatre as part of the celebration.
Wigle Whiskey's 5th Anniversary
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM - Strip District
Wigle Whiskey is celebrating 5 years of producing whiskey! To celebrate, the distillery is hosting a birthday bash in the Strip District with cocktails, live music, and Pittsburgh Tortas taco truck. In addition to all of that, they will be cracking open 5-year-old Monongahela Rye Whiskey Barrel #1. Tickets to the event are $15 and include a cocktail, and a sample of Barrel #1. Tickets can be purchased online.
After Hours: Cocktails & Kryptonite @ the Carnegie Library

Sounds like a dream - cocktails and costumes at the Carnegie Library... and no kids! The spring 2017 edition of the library's After Hours event is themed Superheros! There will be drinks, snacks, trivia, prizes, and tons of fun. Tickets can be purchased online.
Pop-tails with Stickler @ Tupelo Honey Teas

Popsciles and cocktails? Even my mom said this one sounded pretty cool! Tupelo Honey Teas and Sticklers are teaming up for a happy hour. The $20 ticket includes 3 cocktails with tea infused liquor, each paired with a Sticker popsicle. Sounds like a lot of double fisting? Tickets can be purchased online.
Party in the Tropics @ the Phipps

The Phipps gets hip... and hosts a tropical party. Basically the conservatory is turning into a club for the night. Music, bar, and free entrance (until it hits capacity). More information online.
Sprit Turns 2!

I went to this last year and it was insane... literally people getting tattoos in the corner. Typically Spirit party with lots of people, pizza, booze, and music.
